Your first NeoCut edit, step by step.

1. Cut a video to the moments you want

Import your footage, choose a canvas format in Project settings and play the clip. Move the playhead to the first cut, select the clip and use Split. Remove the unwanted section or shorten a clip with its end handles. On a phone, zoom into the timeline for accurate cuts; hold a clip before moving it. Play through each join before adding effects, so you can judge the timing without distractions.

2. Add music and text

Import a soundtrack into an audio track and adjust its volume while listening to the speech. Open Text, choose a Free template or add text, then edit the words in Text → Edit. Move the text clip and trim its ends to control when the title appears. Check the preview on a small screen: keep the words readable and leave space for the controls of the social app where you will publish.

3. Export without a watermark

Play from the beginning to the end. Check for empty gaps, cut-off words and music that outlasts the picture. Save an editable copy with Project settings → Save project + media. Then press the turquoise Export button, choose Video · MP4 and use 720p for a free export. Keep the page open while it works. Open the saved MP4 and watch it before sharing; an exported file is separate from your editable project.
