Who runs NeoCut

NeoCut is operated by Ionut Alin Hoisan, known as IAMNEOFICIAL, who is responsible for the personal information described here.

Your media & projects

Editing, rendering and automatic caption processing run in your browser. NeoCut does not upload your project media for those features.

Projects, imported media and preferences may be stored in your browser. Caption features download AI models before processing speech locally. Microphone access is requested when you choose to record.

Clearing browser data can remove local projects. Save a project backup first. Signing in restores Pro access, not your files.

Accounts & purchases

We process your email, account identifier, purchase references and Pro status to provide your account and purchased access.

Netlify Identity handles authentication. Session records include session identifiers, browser or device labels and expiry times. They support sign-in security and the limit of two active browser sessions.

Stripe handles payment details. NeoCut receives purchase and payment information needed to confirm access and retrieve your receipt. NeoCut does not store your full card details or email you your password.

Cookies & browser storage

Pro verification creates a private signing key in this browser. Its public-key fingerprint is associated with your active account session. This helps prevent copying a saved license into another browser. NeoCut does not upload this private key or your project media for license checks.

A saved Pro license can work offline for up to 7 days after verification, and never beyond its account session expiry. Connecting renews eligible access. Clearing browser security storage may require signing in again; your purchase is retained.

Essential cookies keep you signed in and connect checkout with your browser. Other local storage remembers settings, projects and editor resources.

Remembered sign-in sessions can last up to 30 days. Sessions without that option expire sooner. You can sign out, manage sessions or clear browser storage.

NeoCut does not currently use advertising trackers. Hosting and service providers receive technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, when you connect.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, NeoCut uses Google Analytics to understand visits to its public pages and improve the website. This counts page visits and clicks from public pages to the editor or Pro information page. It also processes technical information about your browser and device. Analytics cookies help distinguish visits.

Analytics starts only after you accept it. Advertising features and advertising personalisation are disabled. The site does not send your media, project titles, filenames, captions, account identifiers, email addresses or payment details to Analytics. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments; referring websites are recorded only at domain level, without their page paths, query strings or fragments. Account and private access pages do not load Analytics.

Your choice is saved in this browser for 180 days. If you accept, Analytics cookies are set for up to 180 days. You can refuse Analytics and continue using the editor, local projects, account and purchases. Use the button below to change your choice or withdraw permission at any time. Withdrawing stops future Analytics measurement and removes its cookies from this browser without reloading the editor. It does not automatically delete information already received by Google.

Optional daily reminders

Daily inspiration is available on supported phones. After a new installation, reminders can turn on automatically if notification permission has already been granted. Otherwise, use the switch in Project settings to allow notifications. Turning the switch off is remembered on this device. When reminders are enabled, NeoCut stores your browser push subscription, encryption keys, phone eligibility marker, time zone and delivery timestamps to send one short reminder a day, around 6 PM in your time zone. This subscription does not include your project media, email or payment information.

A random device control token stays in browser storage; the server keeps its hash to protect your reminder settings. Netlify stores these records and sends encrypted notifications through your browser or device provider, such as Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft.

You can turn reminders off in Project settings or revoke notification permission in your browser or phone settings. Turning them off in NeoCut removes the push endpoint and encryption keys immediately; limited hashed control records remain for up to 30 days, then are removed during scheduled cleanup. Active subscriptions stay until you turn them off or the push provider reports that they have expired.

Your choice to dismiss the installation message is remembered on this device for seven days.

Support & why we use data

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send.

• Providing the service: account access, payment confirmation and purchase support are used to fulfil our contract with you.
• Security and support: technical records and relevant correspondence help us prevent misuse, diagnose problems and respond to requests, based on our legitimate interests.
• Legal obligations: some transaction records must be kept for accounting and other applicable requirements.

We do not sell your personal information.

Services we use

• Netlify hosts NeoCut and provides authentication, server functions and account-related storage.
• Stripe processes payments and provides receipts.
• Google provides the Gmail support inbox and optional Analytics described above. Editor fonts may also load through Google Fonts.
• Hugging Face supplies model downloads for local AI features. The download request includes normal connection information, not your source speech.

These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Their privacy notices describe their locations and transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect legal rights.

How long information stays

Local files remain under your browser’s storage controls. Account and purchase records are retained as needed to provide ongoing Pro access and meet applicable legal requirements.

Support and security records are kept for as long as needed for the request, security purpose or a related dispute. A session expiring does not necessarily delete its stored record immediately.

You can request account deletion. Some purchase records may still need to be retained for legal reasons.

Your choices & rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your data, have it erased, restrict its use, object to certain processing or receive a portable copy. We may need to verify that the request is yours.
