Who runs NeoCut

NeoCut is operated by Ionut Alin Hoisan, known as IAMNEOFICIAL, who is responsible for the personal information described here.

Your media & projects

Editing, rendering and automatic caption processing run in your browser. NeoCut does not upload your project media for those features.

Projects, imported media and preferences may be stored in your browser. Caption features download AI models before processing speech locally. Microphone access is requested when you choose to record.

Clearing browser data can remove local projects. Save a project backup first. Signing in restores Pro access, not your files.

Accounts & purchases

We process your email, account identifier, purchase references and Pro status to provide your account and purchased access.

Netlify Identity handles authentication. Session records include session identifiers, browser or device labels and expiry times. They support sign-in security and the limit of two active browser sessions.

Stripe handles payment details. NeoCut receives purchase and payment information needed to confirm access and retrieve your receipt. NeoCut does not store your full card details or email you your password.

Cookies & browser storage

Essential cookies keep you signed in and connect checkout with your browser. Other local storage remembers settings, projects and editor resources.

Remembered sign-in sessions can last up to 30 days. Sessions without that option expire sooner. You can sign out, manage sessions or clear browser storage.

NeoCut does not currently use advertising trackers. Hosting and service providers receive technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, when you connect.

Support & why we use data

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send.

• Providing the service: account access, payment confirmation and purchase support are used to fulfil our contract with you.
• Security and support: technical records and relevant correspondence help us prevent misuse, diagnose problems and respond to requests, based on our legitimate interests.
• Legal obligations: some transaction records must be kept for accounting and other applicable requirements.

We do not sell your personal information.

Services we use

• Netlify hosts NeoCut and provides authentication, server functions and account-related storage.
• Stripe processes payments and provides receipts.
• Google provides the Gmail support inbox. Editor fonts may also load through Google Fonts.
• Hugging Face supplies model downloads for local AI features. The download request includes normal connection information, not your source speech.

These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Their privacy notices describe their locations and transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect legal rights.

How long information stays

Local files remain under your browser’s storage controls. Account and purchase records are retained as needed to provide ongoing Pro access and meet applicable legal requirements.

Support and security records are kept for as long as needed for the request, security purpose or a related dispute. A session expiring does not necessarily delete its stored record immediately.

You can request account deletion. Some purchase records may still need to be retained for legal reasons.

Your choices & rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your data, have it erased, restrict its use, object to certain processing or receive a portable copy. We may need to verify that the request is yours.
